Background
Nestled in Chinatown, Old Chengdu Sichuan Cuisine stands out with its bright signage, promising authentic fiery flavours. It is a late-night supper stop for those craving bold, numbing heat.
Ambience
The interior is simple but welcoming, with traditional Chinese decor. Oddly quiet during our visit, where we were seated alone on the top floor, which lacked buzz but ensured quick service.
Service
Service was good and efficient. Staff were prompt with orders and refills, though the empty dining area may have helped. No complaints.
Food & Drink
The highlights were century eggs(creamy, well-balanced), stir-fried veggies (crisp and garlicky), and Sichuan grilled fish (flavourful but could have packed more heat)—solid execution. However, spice levels may need adjusting for true chilli heads.
Overall
A reliable spot for Sichuan classics, especially post-midnight.

We came here on Sunday evening, packed but there are ample seating. We ordered the salted vegetable fish, pork skewers, lamb skewers, pork ribs, eggplant, etc. Total bill is around $100 for 3 pax, price is quite okay. Will consider coming back again .

It was my second time here in a week! had an amazing dining experience! The flavors were authentic and beautifully balanced. 辣子鸡 and double boiled fish were delicious! The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the ambiance was warm and inviting.
